Welcome to Wyke

Just to say welcome to all the first-year students and welcome back to all returning students. We hope you all settle quickly, and that this year has less disruptions so you get to experience all that Wyke has to offer. Starting college, although exciting can also be daunting and some of you may feel apprehensive. This is understandable it is a big step. Try to remember this is a fresh start for all and a fantastic opportunity to start again and be who you want to be. One big change at Wyke is having free periods. Some students find this time the most challenging until they make friendship groups. Enrichments are a great way to keep busy and to meet more people outside of your lessons. The library is also a great place to catch up with work or even get ahead with some reading around your subjects. We will also have wellbeing sessions for you to access.
