Time to Talk Day

Today is Time to Talk Day so make the time to talk to others.

Talking about mental health isnt always easy, here are a few tips to get you started;

  • Ask questions and then listen, for example, ‘how does that affect you’ and ‘what does that feel like’
  • Don’t worry about finding the perfect place to talk, go for a walk or sit quietly together
  • You don’t need to fix things, just listen
  • Don’t treat them any differently, they are still the same person
  • If they don’t want to talk, spend quality time with them, that way they know you are there for them
