Bereavement

Bereavement

Bereavement is the loss of someone important to us, whether that be a family member, friend or a pet. Grief is the process we go through and the feelings and emotions we experience. When we lose someone close to us it can be devastating, and therefore it is important that we seek support from others. This could be in the form of talking to a trusted adult, a teacher or tutor, family and friends, or seeking professional support if you feel this would be helpful. Support is available to help you to understand and cope with grief, below you will find bereavement support information for CRUSE. You will also find a link to the MIND website with information specifically for bereavement.

Please ensure that you continue to take care of yourself, look at the wellness tools throughout the blog and make a list of your own wellness tools. Take time to process what has happened and don’t put pressure on yourself, you may have good and bad days but this is normal. Set small tasks throughout the day to keep you feeling well.
